Emaar Economic City appoints Al Hamdan as Managing Director following CEO resignation

Riyadh — Mubasher: Emaar The Economic City’s board of directors has accepted the resignation of CEO Abdulaziz Ibrahim Alnowaiser, effective 31 October 2026.

The board, following a recommendation from the Remuneration and Nominations Committee on 10 October, cited professional commitments as the reason for the departure.

In a concurrent move, the board approved the appointment of Naif Saleh Al Hamdan as the company’s Managing Director, effective 1 November.

Al Hamdan currently serves as the Vice Chairman of Emaar Economic City and brings over 20 years of experience in investment, investment banking, and real estate development to the role.

He also holds the position of Head of West Coast Investment Portfolios at the Public Investment Fund (PIF). His professional background includes senior roles at Sulaiman Al Rajhi Real Estate Investment Company, Global Investment House, Ernst & Young, and the Saudi British Bank (SABB).

The new official holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and an MBA from the University of Wales.
