Emaar expands Dubai Mall via AED 1.5bn investments

Dubai – Mubasher: Emaar Properties has unveiled AED 1.50 billion investment to expand Dubai Mall, according to a press release.

Dubai Mall will include 240 new stores and food and beverage outlets, offering innovative experiences while meeting customer needs.

Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar, said: "The new Dubai Mall expansion is a great addition to one of the most visited sites in the world.”

“This expansion reflects Dubai’s ambitious vision to remain at the forefront of global innovation and culture, further solidifying our city's position as a top global destination,” Alabbar added.

In 2023, Dubai Mall became the most visited place, registering a new attendance record with 105 million visitors, an annual increase of 19%, coupled with exceptionally strong sales.

During the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, the DFM-listed group generated revenues valued at AED 6.70 billion ($1.80 billion), while the net profits before tax hit AED 4.30 billion ($1.20 billion).
