Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Emirates Insurance reported a decline of 64.5% in profits during the third quarter of 2019 when compared to the same period a year earlier.
Profit for the period shrank to AED 11.38 million from AED 31.51 million in Q3-18.
Earnings per share (EPS) stood at AED 0.08 in Q3-19, compared to AED 0.21 in the same period a year earlier, according to a press release on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, during the first nine months of the year, the ADX-listed company recorded a 12.4% year-on-year increase to AED 101.42 million from AED 90.22 million.
EPS reached AED 0.68 in the nine-month period ended on 30 September 2019, compared to AED 0.60 in the same period last year.
Gross written premiums increased to AED 914.51 million in 9M-19 from AED 812.38 million in 9M-18.
