Fawry’s consolidated profit jumps to EGP 334m in Q1-24

Cairo – Mubasher: The consolidated net profit after tax of Fawry for Banking Technology and Electronic Payments soared to EGP 333.71 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024 from EGP 142.05 million in the similar quarter a year earlier.

Consolidated operating revenues surged to EGP 1.08 billion in Q1-24 from EGP 675.69 million in Q1-23, according to the interim financial results.

The basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) reached EGP 0.09 in the three-month period that ended on 31 March 2024, up from EGP 0.04 in the comparative period last year.

Separate Results

Fawry’s standalone net profit after tax jumped to EGP 305.19 million in Q1-24 from EGP 140.09 million in Q1-23.

The non-consolidated operating revenues leapt to EGP 729.97 million in the January-March 2024 period from EGP 459.75 million a year earlier.

In  2023, Fawry logged a 149.50% YoY surge in consolidated net profit to EGP 815.96 million.
