Fertiglobe’s net profits exceed $423.5m in 9M-25; cash dividends unveiled

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Fertiglobe registered net profits valued at $423.60 million in the first nine months (9M) of 2025, an annual leap from $177.70 million.

The group’s revenues widened by 48% to $2.01 billion at the end of September 2025 from $1.54 billion in 9M-24, according to the financial statements.

Basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) hit $0.04 in 9M-25, up year-on-year (YoY) from $0.01.

Quarterly Financials

In the third quarter (Q3) of 2025, the company turned profitable at $270 million, versus net losses of $19.30 million in Q3-24.

The EPS amounted to $0.029 in Q3-25, against a loss per share of $0.001 a year earlier.

Fertiglobe posted revenues totaling $758.30 million in July-September 2025, higher by 53% YoY than $495.60 million.

In August, Fertiglobe resolved with Egyptian authorities, allowing the deductibility of $720 million of goodwill for the Egyptian Fertilizer Company (EFC) for income tax purposes.

Hence, the company reversed its uncertain tax position, recognizing a $111 million gain, and recorded a deferred tax asset of $31 million with a combined total positive impact of $142 million.

Ahmed El-Hoshy, CEO of Fertiglobe, commented: “Despite gas supply curtailments in Egypt, we capitalized on tight global urea markets, with prices increasing 16% Q-o-Q and 33% YoY to $474/t (FOB Egypt) on average in Q3-25.”

“During the quarter, we reached record urea production volumes in Egypt, reflecting progress on the strategic pillar of operational excellence, leading to optimized margins and robust results,” he noted.

Dividends  

In addition to H1-25 dividends of $125 million, Fertiglobe’s management guided for H2-25 dividends of at least $100 million, with the exact amount to be confirmed with 2025 results in February 2026.
