Mubasher: The board of directors of Global Financial Investment Company (GFIC) recommended the distribution of cash dividends to shareholders for 2016.
The dividends represent 5% of capital, according to the company’s statement to the Muscat Securities Market (MSM).
The board has selected Thursday, 30 March, to hold the company’s ordinary general meeting (OGM) and discuss the distribution of 5 baisa per share or OMR 1 million in total, GFIC added.
The board approved the company’s annual profits for 2016, which reached OMR 958,970, down 30% from OMR 1.37 million in 2015.
In April 2015, GFIC shareholders approved the distribution of cash dividends, representing 5% of the company’s capital, and amounting to 5 baisa per share.
The company’s capital amounts to OMR 20 million distributed on 200 million shares at a par value of OMR 0.1 per share.
