UAE – Mubasher: Expand North Star will launch at Dubai Harbour as the world's largest event for global startups and investors over three days from 13 to 16 October 2024, according to a press release.
The event is organised by Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy with an anticipated attendees number of 70,000 and 1,200 investors.
This year’s edition will bring together the most sought-after founders, investors, entrepreneurs, and corporate innovators from across the world to explore growth opportunities emerging in Dubai and catalyse the future of the digital economy.
The new countries represented in 2024 edition will include Austria, Australia, Canada, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Meanwhile, senior partners and 450 speakers will connect with an anticipated 1,800 startups from more than 100 countries worldwide.
New investors from the biggest funds across the globe will be present this year as the first-time leading startup delegations from several countries such as Azerbaijan, Mauritius, Denmark, Peru, Malta, and Cyprus.
In 2023 edition of Expand North Star there were 33,060 attendees and 855 investors managing assets exceeding $1 trillion. The event also attracted the participation of 1,604 startups from 91 countries along with 52 unicorn companies with a combined market value of $663 billion.
It is worth noting that the number of digital startups supported by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy jumped to 215 during the first half (H1) of 2024 from 69 in H1-23.
