Mubasher: Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC) on Thursday reported a 7.7% year-on-year increase in its profit for the second quarter of 2018.
Net profits amounted to QAR 58.95 million ($16.3 million) in Q2-18, compared to QAR 54.74 million ($15.1 million) in Q2-17, according to the company’s statement to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).
For the first half of 2018, profits of the leading logistics provider in Qatar rose 9.9% to QAR 115.66 million, from QAR 105.26 million in H2-17.
Earnings per share (EPS) amounted to QAR 1.97 for the six-month period ended 30 June, versus QAR 1.80 in the same period of the prior year.
It is worth noting that GWC’s profits jumped 12.3% year-on-year to QAR 56.71 million in Q1-18.
By the end of Thursday’s session, GWC’s stock advanced 0.47% at QAR 42.90.
