Hilton to triple development portfolio in Egypt

Mubasher: Hilton plans to inaugurate 25 hotels across Egypt, tripling its presence in the Arab Republic, according to a press release.

The growth plans include the signing of more than ten new properties under the global hospitality company’s brands. This will enable the company to surpass 40 hotels operating in Egypt over the coming years.

Carlos Khneisser, Vice President of development in MEA at Hilton, said: “We are excited to continue building on this legacy as we accelerate our growth, and we look forward to working closely with our valued owners to provide guests with reliable and friendly stays across the country.”

The company inked a partnership agreement with City Edge Developments to bring its flagship brand to Old Cairo’s Magra El Oyoun in 2027.

Located at a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the hotel will feature 255 guest rooms and suites.

The company also announced the signing of DoubleTree by Hilton Cairo Downtown to develop a second hotel with City Edge Developments, expected to open in 2028.

In partnership with Rehana Hotels Group, Hilton will open Hilton Cairo Suez Road, featuring 350 guest rooms and suites, a wide range of dining venues, and speciality restaurants.

Moreover, the development company plans to open a new hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh during 2027, which will be located in the popular Neama Bay and will feature 165 guest rooms and suites.

Expected to open its doors in 2028, the Curio Collection by Hilton in Marsa Alam will house 50 guest villas.

Hilton’s pipeline of hotels in Egypt is projected to secure more than 5,000 new job opportunities, anchoring the company’s commitment to making a positive impact on local communities across the country.

Earlier this month, Knowledge Economic City and Hilton inked a deal with Al Gharaa International for Real Estate Development to open three hotels in Madinah.
