Impact46 fully acquires Kammelna for $53m to expand global reach

Riyadh - Mubasher: Impact46 has acquired the Saudi game development studio Kammelna in exchange for $53 million (SAR 200 million).

This investment will accelerate new cultural games, expansion, and global reach, according to a press release.

Founded in 2009, Kammelna is Saudi Arabia’s largest independent gaming employer with 40 staff. It achieved more than 6 million downloads and over 1 million monthly active users.

Its card gam Baloot tournaments have attracted up to 150,000 participants, highlighting the cultural impact of the studio’s games.

Abdulaziz Al Omran, Founder and CEO of Impact46, said: “This deal is a turning point not just for Saudi gaming, but for what it means to invest in culturally grounded, scalable IP.”

The deal aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 National Gaming and Esports Strategy, advancing the Kingdom’s goal to make gaming and entertainment a key pillar of economic diversification.

Impact46 manages over SAR 2.30 billion in assets, including a dedicated gaming fund, and has successful exits with Rasan and Jahez on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul).
