Jazeera Airways resumes flights to UAE via Qaisumah Airport

Mubasher: Jazeera Airways will resume daily flights between Kuwait and Al Ain starting 18 March via Qaisumah Airport, as part of efforts to maintain connectivity amid ongoing disruptions at Kuwait International Airport.

The route marks the first air connection between Kuwait and the UAE since the suspension of operations at Kuwait International Airport, according to a press release.

This step will provide passengers access to global destinations through nearby hubs such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Passengers will be transported by bus between Kuwait and Qaisumah Airport before boarding flights to Al Ain International Airport, while inbound passengers will follow the same route in reverse.

Meanwhile, the service is launched in coordination with the UAE Embassy in Kuwait and relevant aviation stakeholders.

Barathan Pasupathi, the CEO of Jazeera Airways, said: “As the only airline operating from Kuwait, we are pleased to start flights from Kuwait to Al Ain via Qaisumah Airport.”

“These services will help people reunite with their families and loved ones, while also supporting business and essential travel,” the CEO added.

Pasupathi concluded: “We are grateful for the close cooperation of authorities and partners in Kuwait, the UAE, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for making these operations possible.”

On the other hand, Jazeera Airways continues to operate flights to destinations including Cairo, Alexandria, Assiut, Luxor, Amman, Colombo, and Istanbul, with plans to gradually expand frequencies and add new destinations, including routes to India.

Earlier this week, Jazeera Airways launched flights between Kuwait City and Istanbul via Qaisumah Airport in Hafar Al Batin, Saudi Arabia.
