Kingdom welcomes global accounting companies with promising opportunities

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) granted its membership to a number of global accounting companies after landing their regional headquarters (RHQ) in the Saudi Kingdom, so that they can keep up with the increasing opportunities in this particular market.

Ahmad Almeghames, CEO of SOCPA told Al Eqtisadiah that 4 major global accounting companies; Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers are now present in the Kingdom with their RHQs, in addition to 300 others licensed from the Organization with over 7000 employees and 600 licensed legal accountants.

This took part on the sidelines of the Accounting Technologies Conference, organized by SOCPA as part of its efforts to promote communication with professionals in the financial and accounting sector.

 This event aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise among specialists, highlight technological opportunities that are available to advance the accounting and auditing profession in the Kingdom, and discuss the latest developments and challenges in artificial intelligence and modern accounting technologies.

An accompanying exhibition to the conference will host 30 entities, encompassing governmental bodies, accounting firms, and accounting systems companies, allowing visitors a chance to engage with them and explore their offerings. Additionally, the exhibition will feature a designated area for professional consultations led by a distinguished cadre of experts.

 Simultaneously, the Accounting Solutions Hackathon 2 will be held during the conference from October 17 to 19, involving 100 competing teams, 450 participants, 60 advisors, and 12 judges to evaluate the presented concepts.
