Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait Energy plc (Kuwait Energy) announced the start of oil production from Al Jahra SE-1X exploration well in the Abu Sennan area located in Egypt’s Western Desert.
After the discovery of the well on 27 July, Kuwait Energy obtained the development lease for Al Jahra SE-1X from the Egyptian Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) on 24 August, Sara Akbar, CEO of Kuwait Energy, told Kuwait news agency (KUNA) on Monday.
She added that the production commenced on 25 August at an initial rate of 460 barrel daily, at a 2” choke size and the production stood at a daily range of 410 barrels/ day.
