Kuwaiti bourse ends Monday’s session mixed

Kuwait – Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) fell 0.27% or 14.69 points to end Monday’s session at 5,380.80 points; the lowest level in a month and a half.

Meanwhile, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices lost 0.04% and 0.08% respectively.

KSE’s liquidity gained 2.1% to KWD 3.36 million, as trading volume increased 16% to 35.25 million shares.

The industrial sector headed five decliners by 0.5%, dragged by Gulf Franchising which retreated 8.33% to top the losers.

The technology sector also topped five gainers by 0.66%.

Kuwait Cable was the top winner by a rise of 8.5%, after 28,000 shares were exchanged through 3 transactions at a value of nearly KWD 849,000.

Al Salam was the most active stock on which 3.06 million shares were traded through 66 transactions, with liquidity standing at nearly KWD 151,170. The stock went up 5.15%.

NBK recorded the highest trading value that reached around KWD 420,700 after 2.25 million shares were traded. The stock dropped 2.11% to 186 fils.
