Mubasher: LafargeHolcim announced launching a project to develop and reshape the company's structure to have leaner corporate organization in line with the current integration phase, according to a press release.
The proposed changes include simplifying the corporate structure and the technical support organization to enable the Group’s operations to respond more quickly and efficiently to new market challenges.
"The plan would result in around 250 net job reductions in corporate functions by the end of 2017, of which around 130 would be in Holderbank (Switzerland), 80 in L’Isle d’Abeau (France), and the remainder in other global sites in the rest of the world", the press release indicated.
The restructure will not affect employment at LafargeHolcim’s operational sites in the countries concerned or the R&D center in L’Isle d’Abeau, France, the press statement highlighted.
