Mubasher: Livestock Transport and Trading, listed on Boursa Kuwait, reported it has turned to profits for the second quarter of 2019 as compared to the same quarter a year earlier.
Profits amounted to KWD 667,100 ($2.2 million) in the three-month period ended 30 June, against losses of KWD 342,880 ($1.13 million) in Q2-18, according to a bourse filing.
During the first half of 2019, the company generated a profit of KWD 1.33 million, versus KWD 7,000 in H1-18.
The surge in H1-19 profits was mainly driven by the improved profit margin during the period, the company noted.
It is worth noting that Livestock Transport had logged profits of KWD 662,900 in Q1-19, up 89.5% from KWD 349,880 in the year-ago period.
