Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) saw a negative performance in the week ended 11 May.
The main index fell 0.8% or 43.78 points to reach 5,432.14 points.
Traded volume grew 33.29% week-on-week to 50.79 million shares, while turnover went down 29.51% to OMR 10.07 million.
Market value shed 0.3% to OMR 17.83 billion.
The industry, services, and financial sectors levelled down 1.92%, 1.34%, and 0.81%, respectively.
Gulf Investment Service Holding led the worst performers and lost 11.11%, followed by Oman and Emirates Investment Holding and Oman Textile Holding by 9.92% and 9.57%, respectively.
On the other hand, Oman Education topped gainers and hiked 9.66%, followed by United Power Co and Bank Sohar by 9.23% and 2.07%, respectively.
