Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market ended Monday’s session on a positive note as its benchmark MSM 30 rose 0.36% or 20.77 points to the level of 5,748.56 points.
The rise was due to the increase in most of blue chips, topped by Bank Sohar, which led the green list by adding 1.75%. The stock also made the highest trading activity with a volume of 280,080 shares exchanged at OMR 280,080.
The financial, services and industrial sectors leapt collectively by 0.3%, 0.24% and 0.21% respectively.
Ahli Bank headed the red list with a fall of 1.08%.
Trading volume decreased to 7.48 million shares from 8.2 million shares exchanged on Sunday, turnover also shrank to OMR 1.52 million from OMR 1.66 million.
