Miahona gets regulatory nod for Sha’s Water acquisition

Riyadh - Mubasher: Miahona Company has received regulatory clearance from the General Authority for Competition to proceed with the acquisition of 100% of the share capital in Sha’s Water Services Limited.

The no-objection certificate, issued on 10 September 2026, marks a significant step in the economic concentration process required for the transaction.

The deal follows a sale and purchase agreement originally signed and disclosed by the company on 7 June.

While the antitrust approval satisfies a major regulatory requirement, Miahona stated that the completion of the acquisition remains subject to several other outstanding conditions and legal procedures.

The company is currently working to finalize the remaining prerequisites and related regulatory formalities.

Miahona confirmed it will provide further updates to the market once the transaction is fully completed. No financial impact or specific costs related to this stage of the acquisition were disclosed in the regulatory filing.
