Riyadh – Mubasher: Aster DM Healthcare recently appointed Mohamed Alshamari to assume the CEO position of Aster Hospitals and Clinics in Saudi Arabia, solidifying its presence in the Middle East and the GCC.

The appointment comes in line with the Indian medical entity's strategic expansion plans and commitment towards the healthcare landscape in the Kingdom, according to a press release.

Alshamari held leading roles at several Saudi giants, including listed entities, such as Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco), Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), the Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Company (MedGulf), and Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group as well as Royal Commission Hospital.

The new CEO concluded: “With Aster’s 37-year legacy of 16 hospitals, 121 clinics and 306 pharmacies in the region, we are well-positioned to build the same trust in KSA and continue driving the transformation of healthcare.”

It is worth noting that Aster DM Healthcare recently expanded Aster Sanad Hospital in Riyadh to 200 beds with the launch of a Grand Wing building.

In partnership with the Al Hokair Holding Group, the Indian healthcare entity plans to establish a network of more than 180 Aster pharmacies across Saudi Arabia in the next five years, which reflects Aster DM Healthcare’s dedication to making high-quality healthcare accessible to more people in the country.

Two years ago, Aster DM Healthcare opened Wellth to be the first hub of integrative medicine in the UAE.
