Riyadh – Mubasher: Bandar Alkhorayef, Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, said the mining sector become one of the fastest growing sectors globally, with mineral potential estimated at $2.50 trillion.
During the fourth edition of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF), Alkhorayef highlighted the government’s plans to support exploration and opportunities across 5,000 square kilometres of mineral sites.
He said the Kingdom anchored its potion among top countries in the mineral sector in both exploration and investment.
The conference developed a global framework for critical minerals focused on international industrial development and ensuring the supply of essential minerals to secure the energy transition.
On the sidelines of the event, the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources penned several deals with six countries to boost international partnerships and foster the Kingdom's mining sector.
The forum’s attendance increased from 3,500 to over 20,000 in 2025, with 230 speakers including 11 of the world’s largest mining companies. This is in addition to leaders from research centres and representatives from international organisations.
