Morabaha Marina Financing completes SAR 30m capital hike for subsidiary

Riyadh - Mubasher: Morabaha Marina Financing Company announced on Wednesday the completion of a capital increase for its subsidiary, Digital Payments Company for FinTech (Loop).

The subsidiary’s capital was raised from SAR 19.50 million to SAR 49.38 million, representing a total increase of SAR 29.88 million or 153.21%.

The capital injection was finalized and officially registered on 17 August.

Morabaha Marina Financing contributed SAR 23.90 million toward the increase, ensuring its ownership stake in Loop remains unchanged at 80%.

It highlighted that the primary objective of the capital hike is to strengthen the financial position of the fintech subsidiary while supporting its operational requirements and future growth strategies.

The financial impact of this transaction will be reflected in the consolidated financial statements of Morabaha Marina Financing in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

 The move does not result in any change to the group’s controlling interest in the subsidiary.

In the first half (H1) of 2026, Morabaha Marina Financing incurred a net loss of SAR 26.38 million, compared to a net profit of SAR 2.98 million a year earlier.
