Cairo – Mubasher: Moroccan investments in the Egyptian market amount to $79.7 million in 184 projects, Egypt’s minister of trade and industry Tarek Kabil said in a statement on Monday.
These investments are in the fields of petrochemical industries, construction materials, spinning and weaving, batteries industry, and construction and engineering sector, Kabil added.
Morocco ranked 40 at the level of countries investing in the Egyptian market, he added.
This came as part of the bilateral meeting held by Morocco’s minister of industry, trade, and new technologies Moulay Hafid Elalamy, on the sidelines of the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) mini-ministerial meeting held in Marrakech.
Kabil had previously noted that the volume of trade between Egypt and Morocco amounted to $706 million in 2016.
