Mubasher: Oman Chlorine, listed on the Muscat Securities Market (MSM), announced the inauguration of its new plant in Qatar.
The Omani firm started the commercial operation of its new plant, located in Mesaieed Industrial City in Qatar, in December 2018, with a planned capacity of 70 metric tonnes per day.
It is worth mentioning that Gulf Chlorine plant is 51% owned by Oman Chlorine, which is engaged in the manufacture and sale of industrial chemicals.
The investment cost of the project wasn’t disclosed.
According to the company’s initial financial results, Oman Chlorine’s initial profits surged 120.45% to OMR 1.28 million in 2018, compared to about OMR 582,000 in 2017.
