Mubasher: Oman Qatari Telecommunications (Ooredoo Oman) posted on Thursday a rise of 17.8% year-on-year in its net profit for the first quarter of fiscal 2016.
Net profit reached OMR 12.6 million ($32.85 million) in Q1-16, compared to OMR 10.7 million ($27.87 million in Q1-15, according to the company’s financial statements.
The company earlier reported a net profit of OMR 41.6 million ($108.04 million) in 2015, versus OMR 37.9 million ($98.43 million) in 2014.
The Muscat-listed company’s stock rose in today’s trading by 3.89% to OMR 0.74 ($1.92).
