Mubasher: National Mobile Telecommunications Company (Ooredoo) has appointed Noor Al Sulaiti as CEO of Ooredoo Oman and Bassam Yousef Al Ibrahim as CEO of Ooredoo Algeria.
With over 17-year experience in the telecom industry, Al Sulaiti is the first female CEO in one of Ooredoo Group's key markets, according to a press release on Thursday.
Since 2004, Al Sulaiti has occupied several roles in Ooredoo, the most recently as the CEO of Starlink, an Ooredoo Group company.
Before assuming the role of Ooredoo Algeria's CEO, Al Ibrahim was Ooredoo Algeria's Deputy General Manager in March 2020, enabling the group to achieve healthy results during the first quarter (Q1) of 2021 despite a challenging macroeconomic environment.
The Chairman of Ooredoo Group, Sheikh Faisal Bin Thani Al Thani, said: "These appointments come as part of our strategy to continue to invest in our finest people, as we push forward with our digital transformation journey and create a more modern, efficient and agile way of work."
