Riyadh – Mubasher: Global digital payments leader Visa is participating in Saudi Arabia’s launch edition of 24 Fintech as a Founding Partner, which highlights its commitment to driving innovation and uplifting communities through best-in-class digital payments.
Visa's Regional General Manager for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman, Ali Bailoun, stated: “Our role at 24 Fintech builds on our strategic initiatives, such as the partnership with FinTech Saudi and the Visa Everywhere Initiative. We look forward to leveraging this partnership to accelerate the digitisation of Saudi Arabia's financial ecosystem.”
The collaboration further aims at supporting the growth of fintechs and boosting the digital transformation ambitions across Saudi Arabia, according to a press release.
24 Fintech is a premier event that kicked off on 3 September and will last until the 5th at Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Centre (RFECC), having Gulf International Bank (GIB) - Saudi Arabia as the Silver Sponsor. The summit is expected to witness more than 26,000 attendees with Saudi top officials, investors from across the world, and startups partaking.
Bailoun noted: “Our partnership with 24Fintech underscores our commitment to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and its fintech ecosystem. At Visa, we aim to empower businesses by seamlessly integrating them into the payments ecosystem, fostering their growth and expansion through Visa’s Fast Track and Visa Ready solutions.”
Visa is being part of reshaping the digital commerce industry in Saudi Arabia through investments like its anticipated Visa Innovation Centre in Riyadh and strategic partnerships with local stakeholders such as STA.
Officials from Visa will take part as speakers during the three-day event, including Ali Bailoun; Andrew Torre, Regional President for CEMEA region; and Global Head of Innovation, Valla Vikili. The global digital payments player will also feature three of its strategic partners at its booth: Tarabut, Beyon, and Thawani.
Earlier, leading payments solution provider Checkout.com announced expected strategic partnership agreements with The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) during the event.
