Petro Rabigh turns profitable at SAR 6.7bn in 9M-26

Riyadh — Mubasher: Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) generated net profits valued at SAR 6.70 billion in the first nine months (9M) of 2026.

The group turned profitable against a net loss of SAR 3.29 billion in 9M-25. It attributed the turnaround to improved plant operating rates and higher sales volumes, alongside strengthened margins for refined products.

Revenue for the nine-month period surged by 113.63% to SAR 52.03 billion, compared to SAR 24.36 billion a year earlier. This growth was supported by favorable market conditions and a low base in 2025, which was impacted by a 60-day scheduled maintenance shutdown.

Earnings per share (EPS) hit SAR 4.01 at the end of September 2026, compared to a loss per share of SAR 1.97 in the prior-year period.

For the third quarter (Q3) of 2026, Petro Rabigh shifted to net profits valued at SAR 2.58 billion, reversing a SAR 1.24 billion loss in Q3-25.

The revenue hiked by 82.87% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 16.82 billion. However, compared to Q2-26, net profit declined by 3.19% as revenue fell by 17.44% from SAR 20.37 billion, primarily due to lower sales volumes linked to geopolitical disruptions.

Total equity stood at SAR 19.73 billion at the end of the period.
