Cairo – Mubasher: Technical movements signaled by Mubasher Trade indicate that the stock of Qatar National Bank (QNB) continues to move within a strong upward trend that began in mid-November, accompanied by a noticeable increase in trading volumes.
This reflects the QNB stock's transition from the accumulation phase to a clear price acceleration phase.
According to Mubasher Trade, after reaching a peak near EGP 46, the QNB stock entered a healthy correction movement on the daily frame, which is currently centered above the short-term moving average above which the stock resumed trading.
Mubasher Trade Research indicates that the stock was able to rebound upwards again after forming support around the levels of EGP 33-40. The stock also showed positive performance in Tuesday's session, forming a positive candlestick to reduce part of the losses from the previous sessions. Currently, maintaining stability above the support level and rising for two consecutive sessions accompanied by good trading volumes will be strong signals for the return of buying power, which qualifies the prices to test the peak again.
About the Bank
Qatar National Bank (QNB) was established as an Egyptian joint-stock entity in April 1978, and was listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) in July 1996. Its primary activity is to provide a variety of banking and financial services to individual, corporate, and institutional clients.
Summary of Price Movement
The QNB stock started 2025 with a quiet performance and limited trading within a sideways range that extended for several months near the levels of EGP 24 and EGP 28 without a clear trend. With the onset of the fourth quarter (Q4), buying forces began to gradually emerge, which led to transforming the long sideways range into a solid launch base. With the first actual breakthrough above the EGP 30 range, the ascent accelerated significantly, supported by continuous jumps in trading volumes, which pushed the stock to test new historical levels.
In a short period, the stock rose to record peaks near EGP 46 before entering a limited correction to protect the gains.
