QSE benchmark index loses 52 points in early trade

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) index opened Monday’s trading in red, amid a decline by most of its sectors, as it dropped about 0.49% or around 52 points to reach the level of 10,448.79 points.

Al Rayan Islamic Index also plummeted about 0.39% to 3,883 points, and the All Shares Index fell by 0.43% to 2,783 points.

Trading value reached about QAR 18.9 million through executing 262 trades on 390,670 shares.

The telecom sector headed the decliners with a 1.13% loss, while the insurance topped the green list with a 0.22% rise.

Also by morning, trading saw a fall in stock prices, as Widam Food Company was the weakest performer after dropping 5.21%. Meanwhile, Qatar Islamic Bank was the best performer with an increase of 0.26%

The Qatari benchmark index closed Sunday with a rise of 0.20% or about 20.68 points, reaching the level of 10,499.96 points.
