Riyadh – Mubasher: Qassim Cement Company achieved net profits after Zakat and tax worth SAR 201.04 million in the first half (H1) of 2021, up 2.2% from SAR 196.63 million in H1-20.
Earnings per share amounted to SAR 2.23 in H1-21, compared to SAR 2.18 in H1-20, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.
Sales decreased annually by 1.8% to SAR 421.15 million in H1-21 from SAR 429.18 million in H1-20.
In the second quarter (Q2) of 2021, the cement company registered 17% higher profits at SAR 100.17 million, compared with SAR 85.47 million in Q2-20.
Sales grew by 18% to SAR 197.8 million in April-June 2021 period from SAR 167.43 million in the same three months last year.
On a quarterly basis, Qassim Cement posted a marginal decline of 0.69 in Q2-21 profits compared to SAR 100.87 million in Q1-21, and the sales shrank by 11.4% from SAR 223.35 million
