Riyadh – Mubasher: The Social Development Bank (SDB) has provided financing amounting to SAR 1.54 billion during the third quarter (Q3) of 2024, benefiting more than 18,000 citizens across the Kingdom.
These funds included SAR 702 million to support 9,600 freelancers and productive families. This is in addition to over SAR 465 million in order to back small and emerging enterprises, helping 1,500 establishments.
Furthermore, a total of SAR 378 million was injected into social financing, aiding 7,200 male and female citizens.
SDB held its third-quarter meeting for 2024, chaired by Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), Chairman of SDB’s Board of Directors, and in the presence of the board members.
The officials addressed several topics on the agenda to anchor the national efforts to serve citizens and boost entrepreneurship in the Kingdom. They also highlighted SDB’s role in empowering beneficiaries in financial planning and savings.
The bank registered 16,300 new supported savings accounts during Q3-24, with about 20,400 individuals leveraging its services.
