Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) recorded net profits worth SAR 11.58 billion in the first nine months (9M) of 2025, an annual fall of 4.57% from SAR 12.14 billion.
On the other hand, the revenues hiked by 17.60% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 78.27 billion in 9M-25 from SAR 66.55 billion, according to the financial results.
The earnings per share (EPS) retreated to SAR 1.18 as of 30 September 2025 from SAR 1.33 a year earlier.
Results of Q3-25
During the third quarter (Q3) of 2025, SEC registered SAR 5.33 billion in net profit, lower by 22.70% than SAR 6.89 billion in Q3-24.
The company witnessed 7. 9.64% YoY higher revenues at SAR 31.04 billion in Q3-25, compared to SAR 28.31 billion.
The quarterly earnings went up by 18.81% from SAR 5.28 billion in April-June 2025, while the revenues grew by 11.99% from SAR 27.72 billion.
Earlier in October, the group inked a SAR 1.36 billion power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) to develop the 600 megawatt (MW) Samtah solar PV power plant.
