Riyadh - Mubasher: The net losses of Salama Cooperative Insurance Company received final regulatory approval from the Insurance Authority on 10 September 2026 to market and sell a new insurance product.
The approval covers the domestic worker contract insurance product, which is designed specifically for individual retail customers within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The company received notification of the approval through the regulator's electronic platform under notice number 9737.
The official approval for the product, which has been assigned a specific identification code by the authority, was issued on 10 September 2026.
This regulatory milestone allows the insurer to expand its retail offerings in the specialized domestic labor segment.
Salama Cooperative confirmed that the approval pertains to the marketing and sale of the product to individual clients across the Saudi market.
In the first half (H1) of 2026, the listed group’s net loss dropped by 48% to SAR 20.34 million from SAR 39.13 million in H1-25.
