Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources penned several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and cooperation agreements with six countries during the fourth ministerial roundtable of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF).
The agreement aimed at strengthening international partnerships and developing the Kingdom's mining and minerals sector, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, and Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs, Khalid Al Mudaifer, signed the deals on behalf of Saudi Arabia.
The six countries included Djibouti, Jordan, the UK, Zambia, Austria, and France.
The event kicked off in the capital of Saudi Arabia on 14 January 2025, with the participation of participation from 50 international organiszations, NGOs, and global leaders in the mining industry.
Executive Director of the Future Minerals Forum, Ali Al Mutairi, highlighted that major agreements worth billions will be signed during the conference.
“[They] will contribute to creating new job opportunities, strengthening value chains, driving innovation, and ensuring long-term sustainable developments,” Al Mutairi noted.
