Saudi Arabia limits entering public places to vaccinated people next month

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia will be banning unvaccinated individuals from entering public places and events as of 1 August, the Ministry of Interior announced.

People using public transportation will have to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as well.

The decision applies to economic, commercial, cultural, entertainment, or sports activities. In addition, entering any governmental or private facilities will be limited to those who received the vaccine.

Both citizens and residents will be required to show their Tawakkalna application to check their immunistion status before entering any of the mentioned places.

According to the Ministry of Health, more than 25 million vaccine shots have been administrated in the Kingdom until press time. Saudi Arabia has registered 194.9 million COVID-19 cases since the pandemic started last year.
