Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports jump 17.8% in Q2-25 – GASTAT

Riyadh - Mubasher: The non-oil exports of Saudi Arabia rose by 17.80% year-on-year (YoY) in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).

In the three-month period ended 30 June 2025, the Kingdom’s national non-oil exports grew by 5.60% when compared to Q2-24, while re-exported goods surged by 46.20%.

Total commodity exports declined by 7.30% YoY in Q2-25 due to a 15.80% fall in petroleum exports, cutting oil’s share of total exports to 67.90%.

The trade surplus plunged by 56.20% YoY in the April-June period of 2025, whereas the ratio of non-oil exports to imports improved to 37.30%.

Chemical products topped the non-oil exports, while machinery remained the leading imports.

In its International Merchandise Trade Statistics Bulletins for June, GASTAT reported an annual hike of 22.10% in the Saudi non-oil exports, including re-exports.

Non-oil national exports alone climbed by 8.40% and re-export goods jumped by 60.20%.

In June 2025, total commodity exports grew 3.70% despite a 2.50% decrease in petroleum exports, widening the trade surplus by 10.60%.
