Saudi Arabia signs $5bn Credit Line Agreement with France

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Ministry of Finance announced it has signed a joint statement with Bpifrance Assurance Export to establish a dedicated credit line of up to $5 billion to support French companies working on projects aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

As per a press release by the Ministry, the statement was signed on 24 August, 2026 by Hani AlMedaini, CEO of the National Debt Management Center, and Denis Le Fers, CEO of Bpifrance Assurance Export.

Structured as a shopping line, the facility will finance and refinance existing and future contracts undertaken by French companies in the Kingdom, with a focus on infrastructure, urban development, transport and healthcare.

The two sides will work together to finalize the credit line’s operational framework and ensure its timely implementation in line with project schedules. They will also maintain regular coordination to support its efficient execution.

The agreement builds on the “Roadmap for the Next Decade,” signed by Saudi Arabia and France in December 2024, and aims to deepen economic, commercial and investment ties between the two countries while supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and France 2030.
