Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) organized the Saudi-Egyptian Technology Forum, in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Egyptian Information Telecommunications, Electronics, and Software Alliance (EITESAL), to foster digital entrepreneurship, enhance tech investments, and promote digital economy and innovation in the region.
The forum was attended by Mohammed Robayan, Deputy Minister for Technology at MCIT, Bassam Al-Bassam, Deputy Minister for Telecom and Digital Infrastructure at MCIT, and Ahmed Farouk, Egyptian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, along with representatives from several Saudi and Egyptian tech companies, the ministry announced in a statement.
During the forum, the Saudi Ministry of Investment showcased the Kingdom’s attractive investment environment in all pivotal sectors, notably technology, and highlighted several programs, initiatives, and projects that foster digital entrepreneurship, such as The Garage and CODE Centre.
Moreover, Saudi and Egyptian companies participated in a workshop to share knowledge, explore new digital investment opportunities, and discuss means of enhancing the joint strategic partnership and boosting tech investments to broaden market access between both countries.
