Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Al Jomaih Energy and Water company (JENWA) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the India-based Hygenco Green Energies company to explore green hydrogen projects in Saudi Arabia, JENWA announced.

The MoU was signed during the India-Saudi Investment Forum 2023 that was organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India, and the Saudi Ministry of Investment.

The CEO of Hygenco, Amit Bansal, said: “The signing of the MoU with [JENWA] demonstrates our capabilities to provide affordable and scalable distributed green hydrogen solutions in the Middle East and facilitate their energy transition through a more sustainable future.”

JENWA also signed collaboration agreements with other four Indian companies: Avaada Energy, VA-Tech WABAG, Kshema Power & Enaura, and Newen to bolster its presence in the Middle East, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The agreements aimed to join forces in the fields of solar, wind, water, green hydrogen, and battery storage solutions.

Hygenco Green Energies is a leading developer of end-to-end green hydrogen and green ammonia assets on a build-own-operate and build-own-operate-transfer basis.
