Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Commerce issued over 192,000 commercial registers across promising sectors under Vision 2030 during the first eight months of 2026.
According to recent figures by the ministry, the e-commerce sector led the list with 52,241 registers, showing a 9% increase, followed by the logistics services sector, which secured 32,154 registers in the same period, up by 25%.
The number of commercial registers issued in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector rose by 31% to 24,552 by the end of the first eight months of 2028. Meanwhile, financial and insurance activities secured 16,950 registers in the same period, representing a 12% increase.
The augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) activities obtained 13,853 commercial registers, while cybersecurity activities received 11,275 registers.
Moreover, the number of commercial registers issued for the electronic games sector rose by 24% throughout the first eight months of 2026 to 977.
It is worth mentioning that the total number of existing commercial registers in Saudi Arabia surpassed 1.9 million in the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, up 12% compared to Q2-25.
