Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Reinsurance Company (Saudi Re) has been appointed leader of the Saudi Pool for Marine War Insurance, following the Cabinet’s approval of the initiative, according to a bourse disclosure.
The national initiative brings together public- and private-sector entities to strengthen the Saudi insurance market’s capacity to address marine war risks, support the continuity of trade flows and supply chains, and mitigate the impact of fluctuations in global reinsurance markets.
The initiative is also expected to enhance the Kingdom’s competitiveness as a global logistics hub by strengthening the insurance infrastructure supporting maritime trade.
In the first half (H1) of 2026, the group’s net profit rose by 83.61% to SAR 161.56 million from SAR 87.99M in the prior-year period.
