Saudi Tadawul Group's profits shrink 22% in Q1-22; dividends approved

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Company has logged net profits after Zakat and tax worth SAR 140.60 million during the first quarter (Q1) of 2022, down 21.71% from SAR 179.60 million in Q1-21.

The revenues plunged by 11.58% to SAR 293.90 million in Q1-22 from SAR 332.40 million in Q1-21, according to the interim financial results on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the earnings per share (EPS) stood at SAR 1.17 in the January-March 2022 period, versus SAR 1.50 during the same period a year earlier.

On a quarterly basis, the revenues in Q1-22 rose by 14.13% from SAR 257.50 million, while the net profits surged by 27.23% from SAR 110.50 million.

In a separate bourse disclosure, the shareholders of the company agreed to distribute a cash dividend of SAR 3 per share for 2021.

The Saudi listed firm will pay a total amount of SAR 360 million, representing 30% of the capital.

In 2021, Saudi Tadawul Group recorded net profits after Zakat and tax worth SAR 587.70 million, an annual increase of 17.41% from SAR 500.52 million.
