Saudi events industry expected to hit $3.4bn in 2029

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Event Management Industry is expected to grow from $2.38 billion in 2024 to $3.45 billion in 2029, according to a recent report by Mordor Intelligence.

The Kingdom hosts large-scale events, including MDL Beast, LEAP, Riyadh Season, Red Sea Film Festival and F1. This is in addition to upcoming international events, such as Expo 2030 and the World Cup 2034.

Moreover, the GCC is rapidly emerging as a prime growth region for the global meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) industry.

The Saudi cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam are emerging as key MICE hubs with world-class amenities, competing with traditional event hubs like Dubai and Doha.

Industry experts attribute this boom to the open-door policy of the Saudi government, the Kingdom’s hospitality, and travel infrastructure, as well as the melding of real-world events with technology.

Riyadh is playing host to the Saudi Event Show 2024, which will witness over 4,500 events, entertainment and MICE professionals gather to connect with their peers, network and interact over two days.
