Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Tuesday in the green after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) jumped 33.75 points, or 0.44%, reaching 7,643.4 points.
TASI’s trading volume ended the session at 124 million shares, down from 142 million shares on Monday, while liquidity fell to SAR 2.7 billion ($718.67 million), from SAR 2.88 billion ($767.47 million).
The consumer services sector increased 4.34%, followed by the food and staples retailing sector with 2.6%, materials with 0.52%, telecommunication services with 0.38%, and banks with 0.35%.
On the flipside, the food and beverages sector shed 0.87%, while utilities went down 0.51%.
Al Tayyar Travel Group’s stock led risers with 7.38%, whereas Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock tumbled 4.89%.
The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) stock, up 1.54%, led in terms of traded value after generating SAR 360.32 million, while Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Co’s stock, up 3.71%, led in terms of trading volume after 28.6 million shares were exchanged.
In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu secondary market, NOMU, surged 2.14% or 53.55 points to 2,550.89 points.
Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock topped Nomu's gainers with 4.17%, whereas Arab Sea Information System Co’s stock decreased 3.52%.
Abdullah Saad Mohamed Abo Moati for Bookstores Company’s stock, down 2.24%, led Nomu in terms of trading volume after 20,200 shares were exchanged, at a turnover of SAR 191,800.
