Sharjah sees 40.5% higher real estate transactions in 6M

UAE - Mubasher: Sharjah has registered 40,346 real estate transactions worth AED 12.2 billion during the first half (H1) of 2021, up 40.5% from the same period of 2020, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The total area covered in sales transactions was 75.2 million square feet, as shown by the cited data of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department.

The performance of Sharjah's real estate industry is driven by the return of business following the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic's decline and the economic incentives launched by the Executive Board in November 2020, which raised investors’ confidence in the market.

In the first six months of 2021, the emirate registered 1,457 mortgage transactions worth AED 5 billion, up 25% year-on-year (YoY), while the number of sales transactions reached 2,863.
