Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) began the initial operation of several units at its polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) plant on 30 March.
The plant, which is expected to commence the initial startup in April 2015, is owned by Sipchem Chemicals Co. – an affiliate of Sipchem.
The plant will produce PBT with a total production capacity of 63,000 tonnes annually.
