Tamkeen’s Riyada Accelerator showcases Bahrain’s rising startup talent

Manama – Sharikat Mubasher: The Labour Fund (Tamkeen), in cooperation with Salica Investments (formerly Hambro Perks), hosted a successful demo day for the Riyada Business Accelerator Program.

The event featured innovative pitches from participating founders, attracting representatives from the public and private sectors as well as international investors, according to Tamkeen’s press release.

Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, commended the entrepreneurs for showcasing tech-driven solutions and emphasized the importance of supporting startups to drive innovation and economic growth. She highlighted how such initiatives encourage tech adoption, boost productivity, and strengthen the private sector as an engine for development.

The program’s first cohort created 30 job opportunities and raised over $225,000 through investments, grants, and competitions. Focused on product development, fundraising, team building, and business development, the program equips startups with essential tools and resources for success.

Aligned with Tamkeen’s 2025 strategy, the initiative promotes enterprise growth, digitization, and sustainability while supporting Bahrain’s private sector competitiveness and broader economic goals.
