Mubasher: A report by Emirates NBD Research summarized the Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) data for the top MENA countries, with the S&P Global PMI survey for the UAE ending 2024 on a high note as it picked up to 55.4.
The UAE’s December PMI was up from 54.2 the previous month and beating the 2024 average of 55.1, compared with 56.1 in 2023.
The Dubai PMI survey for December also saw an uptick, with the headline reading at 55.5, the highest since March.
On the other hand, Saudi Arabia’s December PMI survey from Riyad Bank fell modestly to 58.4 in December, down from 59.0 in November.
Meanwhile, Egypt’s S&P Global PMI survey fell to 48.1 in December, down from 49.2 previously.
