The “Banque Nationale Agricole” (BNA) has just published its activity indicators for the second quarter of 2019. These show a double-digit growth in the half-year NBI.
At the end of the first six months of the year, BNA’s outstanding claims on customers reached 9.88 billion dinars, compared to 9.25 billion dinars on December 31, 2018, posting an increase of 6.7%, while customer deposits recorded a rise of 261 million dinars, up 3.3%, to 8 billion dinars.
Bank operating income reached 622 million dinars, up from 493 million a year earlier, posting an increase of 129 million dinars, up 26%.
Bank operating expenses went up by 81 million dinars, from 237 to 318 million dinars between June 2018 and last June, i.e. a growth rate of 34.1%.
Net banking income (NBI) stood at 304 million dinars as of June 30, 2019, compared to 256 million dinars last year, recording an increase of 18.6%.
The total amount of operating expenses grew 12.9% between June 2018 and June 2019 from 123 to 139 million dinars.
